HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Amendment of Public Finance and Audit Act 1983

1. The Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 is amended by omitting

from Schedule 2 the following words:

New South Wales Capital Works Financing Corporation.

Amendment of Public Finance and Audit Regulation 1984

2. The Public Finance and Audit Regulation 1984 is amended by

inserting at the end of clause 3 the following words:

New South Wales Capital Works Financing Corporation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to vary the auditing requirements of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 in relation to the New South Wales Capital Works Financing Corporation. The amendments will:

(a) remove the Corporation from Schedule 2 to the Act (so that it will no longer

be subject to the general system of audit applying to statutory bodies

specified in that Schedule); and

(b)	provide instead for audit by the Auditor-General in accordance with the
request of the Treasurer, a Minister or other person prescribed for the purposes of section 45 of the Act.
