PUBLIC FINANCE AND AUDIT ACT 1983 - REGULATION

(Relating to the audit of the NSW Treasury Managed Fund)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Public Finance and Audit Regulation 1984 is amended by inserting after clause 3 the following clause:

Particular audit of the NSW Treasury Managed Fund

3A. For the purposes of section 44 (1) of the Act, the NSW Treasury Managed Fund is prescribed for the purposes of Division 4 of Part 3 of the Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is amend the Public Finance and Audit Regulation 1984 to provide that the accounts and records of financial transactions of or relating to the person, group of persons or body having the control or management of the NSW Treasury Managed Fund will be inspected and audited by the Auditor-General in accordance with the request of the Treasurer, a Minister or other person prescribed for the purposes of section 45 of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983.
