PUBLIC FINANCE AND AUDIT ACT 1983—REGULATION

(Relating to the audit of certain university superannuation schemes)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Public Finance and Audit Regulation 1984 is amended by inserting

at the end of clause 3 (2) the following:

University of Sydney Professorial Superannuation Scheme.

University of Sydney Short Term Academic and Other Special

Appointments Superannuation Scheme.

Macquarie University Professorial Superannuation Scheme.

University of Newcastle Staff Superannuation Scheme.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to enable the Auditor–General, if requested to do so by the Treasurer or the Minister for Education, Training and Youth Affairs, to inspect and audit the accounts and records of financial transactions of or relating to the above university superannuation schemes.

This Regulation is made under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, including

section 44 (1).
