His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983.

Explanatory note

Section 45 of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 enables the Auditor- General, if requested to do so, to inspect and audit the accounts and records of financial transactions of or relating to statutory bodies prescribed under section 44 of that Act.

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the following joint ventures as statutory bodies under section 44 of the Act:

(a)	West Pennant Hills Project Joint Venture,
(b)	Quakers Hill Project Joint Venture,
(c)	Oatlands Project Joint Venture,
(d)	East Fairfield Project Joint Venture.

This Regulation is made under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, including sections 64 (the general power to make regulations) and 44 (1).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Public Finance and Audit (General)
Amendment (Joint Ventures) Regulation 1999.

2 Amendment of Public Finance and Audit (General) Regulation 1995

The Public Finance and Audit (General) Regulation 1995 is amended by inserting in appropriate order in clause 19 (1):

(ai)	West Pennant Hills Project Joint Venture,
(aj)	Quakers Hill Project Joint Venture,
(ak)	Oatlands Project Joint Venture,
(al)	East Fairfield Project Joint Venture.
