An Act to remove doubts respect ing Tolls upon

Public Bridges. [3rd December, 1861.]

Majesty by and wi th t he advice and consent of t he Legislat ive Counci l	WH E R E A S it is expedient to remove doubts as to t h e it, therefore declared and enacted by t h e Queen ' s Most Excel lent of t h e Legis la tu re r e l a t ing to Tolls upon Pub l i c Bridges Be
and Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by t h e au tho r i t y of t h e same as fo l lows:—

1. The several powers and au thor i t ies and all o ther t he pro­

visions of t h e Ac t second Wi l l i am the F o u r t h n u m b e r twelve re la t ing

to T u r n p i k e Gates and Fer r i e s T u r n p i k e Tolls and F e r r y Dues as

amended by t h e " M a i n Roads M a n a g e m e n t A c t of 1858 " and t h e

several provisions of t h e las t -ment ioned A c t r e l a t ing to t h e same

m a t t e r s do apply and shall be deemed in law to apply to all Br idges in t h e Colony cons t ruc ted repaired or ma in ta ined at t h e publ ic expense

or be ing publ ic p rope r ty and to all Br idge Tolls a n d Dues the reon or in respect thereof as fully and effectually a n d in l ike m a n n e r as if such Bridges Br idge Tolls a n d Dues were in t e r m s ment ioned or referred to in and by such Acts respectively.

2. This A c t shal l be he ld to ex tend and apply to any Publ ic Br idge crossing a r iver which forms p a r t of t h e b o u n d a r y l ine	be tween
th is and any o ther Colony	Provided t h a t as to any such Br idge be ing

the jo in t p roper ty of t h e two Colonies any a r r a n g e m e n t m a y be m a d e be tween the Governmen t s of such two Colonies respect ing t h e collec­ t ion division and appropr ia t ion of t h e Br idge Tolls and D ues thereon .

3 . This A c t shall be styled and m a y be cited as t h e " Pub l i c

Br idges Tolls A c t of 1 8 6 1 . "
