(Amending certain citation clauses)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Authorities Superannuation Act 1985, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 31 August 1995.

Amendment of Public Authorities Superannuation (Closed Local
Government Schemes Transfer) Regulation 1986

2. The Public Authorities Superannuation (Closed Local Government Schemes Transfer) Regulation 1986 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Closed Local Government Schemes Transfer)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

Amendment of Public Authorities Superannuation (Cootamundra
Shire Council Gas Employees) Regulation 1988

3. The Public Authorities Superannuation (Cootamundra Shire Council Gas Employees) Regulation 1988 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Cootamundra Shire Council Gas Employees)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

Initiatives Transfer) Regulation 1986

4. The Public Authorities Superannuation (Government Initiatives
Transfer) Regulation 1986 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the

words “(Government Initiatives Transfer)” the words “(Savings and

Transitional)”.

5. The Public Authorities Superannuation (Government Initiatives Transfer) Regulation 1987 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Government Initiatives Transfer)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

Amendment of Public Authorities Superannuation (Metropolitan Water Sewerage and Drainage Board “A” Class Subsidised Assurance Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1986

6. The Public Authorities Superannuation (Metropolitan Water Sewerage and Drainage Board “A” Class Subsidised Assurance Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1986 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Metropolitan Water Sewerage and Drainage Board ‘A’ Class Subsidised Assurance Scheme Transfer)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

Amendment of Public Authorities Superannuation (Transport

Retirement Fund Closure) Regulation 1986

7. The Public Authorities Superannuation (Transport Retirement Fund Closure) Regulation 1986 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Transport Retirement Fund Closure)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the citation clauses of various Regulations made under the Public Authorities Superannuation Act 1985 so as to reflect the savings and transitional nature of those Regulations. This will more readily identify the Regulations as being, by virtue of item 18 of Schedule 4 to the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, excluded from the operation of that Act and, in particular, from the automatic repeal provisions of section 10 of that Act.

This Regulation is made under the Public Authorities Superannuation Act 1985, in

particular, section 63 (the general regulation-making power) and:

(a) in relation to clauses 2, 6 and 7—clauses 1 and 2 of Schedule 8;	and
(b) in relation to clauses 3–5—clause 4 of Schedule 9.
