AN ACT to amend the Public Authorities (Retirement

of Members) Aet, 1943.

[Assented to 30th September, 1943.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

This Act may be cited as the Public Authorities (Retirement of Members) Act Amendment Act, 1943, and shall be read as one with the Public Authorities (Retirement of Members) Act, 1943 (No. 3 of 1943), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Section three of the principal Act is amended—

Amendment

of s. 3 of

(a)

by inserting in line two of paragraph (b) after PArciteiPal

the word "Board" the words "referred to in

the preceding paragraph."

(b)

by inserting a new paragraph to stand as para- graph (c) as follows :—

The terms of office of the members of every road board (save and except those road boards referred to in the preceding para- graphs) who would ordinarily have retired by rotation under the provisions of section twenty-seven of the Road Districts Act, 1919- 1942, on the third Saturday in April, One thousand nine hundred and forty-three, or on the third Saturday in April, One thousand nine hundred and forty-four, as the case may be shall be and are hereby extended after such
