Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe an additional investment power in respect of the shareholders of Sydney Motorway Corporation Pty Ltd (currently the Treasurer and the Minister for Roads and Freight). This Regulation is made under the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, including clause 2 (c) of Schedule 4 and section 43 (the general regulation-making power).

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

Schedule 5 Authorities having additional investment powers

Insert after clause 14:

14A Shareholders of Sydney Motorway Corporation

The following additional investments are prescribed in respect of the
shareholders of Sydney Motorway Corporation Pty Ltd:
Direct or indirect investments in shares in Sydney Motorway
Corporation Pty Ltd (ACN 601 507 591) and any of its subsidiaries.
