The Administrator, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987.

Explanatory note

The objects of this Regulation are:

(a)	to prescribe an additional investment power, in respect of the Department of Industry, in Silicon Quantum Computing Pty Ltd, and
(b)	to update references to the Department of Industry and the Secretary of that Department.

This Regulation is made under the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, including section 43 (the general regulation-making power) and clause 2 (c) of Schedule 4.

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Amendment
(Silicon Quantum Computing) Regulation 2017.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Regulation 2013

(1) Schedule 1 Definitions of “authority” and “controlled entity”

Omit “Director-General of the Department of Trade and Investment, Regional

Infrastructure and Services” from Part 1.

Insert instead “Secretary of the Department of Industry”.

(2)	Schedule 2 Authorities having Part 2 investment powers
Omit “Department of Industry, Skills and Regional Development”. Insert instead “Department of Industry”.
(3)	Schedule 5 Authorities having additional investment powers
Omit “Department of Trade and Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Services” wherever occurring in clause 10.
Insert instead “Department of Industry”.
(4)	Schedule 5, clause 10 (e)
Insert after clause 10 (d):

(e) investment, made on terms and conditions approved by the Treasurer, in Silicon Quantum Computing Pty Ltd (ACN 619 102 608).
