Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to authorise Transport for NSW to invest in the company with the ACN of 156 211 906 and in Metro Transport Sydney Pty Limited (and its wholly owned subsidiaries).

This Regulation is made under the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, including clause 2 (c) of Schedule 4 to the Act and section 43 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements)
Amendment (Metro Transport Sydney) Regulation 2012.

2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Regulation 2005
Schedule 5 Authorities having additional investment powers
Insert after clause 13A:

13B Transport for NSW
The following additional investments are prescribed in respect of Transport for NSW:

(a) investment of $1 in the company with the ACN of 156 211 906,
(b) direct or indirect investment in Metro Transport Sydney Pty Limited (ACN 082 564 510), Sydney Light Rail Company Pty Limited (ACN 064 062 933), Pyrmont Light Rail Company Pty Limited (ACN 065 183 913), Light Rail Construction Company Pty Limited (ACN 067 246 897), Metro Transport Security Company Pty Limited (ACN 106 690 144) and SLR Corporate Development Pty Limited (ACN 078 272 938).
