(Relating to the investment powers of certain authorities)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Treasurer and the respective Minister for each authority declared to have investment powers by this Regulation, and in pursuance of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Investment
Regulation 1990 is amended:
| (a) | by omitting from clauses 7 (c) and 8 (c) the words "one month" wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter "3 months"; |
| (b) | by inserting in Schedule 1 (in alphabetical order of the names of authorities) the following words: |

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Public Authorities (Financial
Arrangements) Investment Powers Regulation 1990:
(a) to enable certain ratings given by prescribed rating agencies to be prescribed for a period of 3 months instead of 1 month; and (b) to confer on the authorities referred to in paragraph (b) of this Regulation the investment powers described in Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987 in respect of the funds of or under the control of the authorities; and (c) to confer on the authorities referred to in paragraphs (c) and (d) of this Regulation she investment powers described in Part 2 of Schedule 4 to that
Act in respect of such funds; and(d) to confer on the Maritime Services Board the investment powers described in Part 3 (instead of Part 2) of Schedule 4 to that Act in respect of such funds.
