(Relating to the borrowing and investment powers of certain authorities)

1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Amendment of Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) General

Regulation 1990

1. The Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) General

Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting in clause 4, in alphabetical order of authorities, the following words:

Hunter Water Corporation Limited

Amendment of Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements)

Investment Powers Regulation 1990

2. The Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Investment

Powers Regulation 1990 is amended:

(a) by inserting in Schedule 1, in alphabetical order of authorities, the following words:

Trustees of the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Fund

(b) by omitting from Schedule 2 the words “Hunter Water Board” and by inserting instead the words “Hunter Water Corporation

Limited”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of clause 1 of this Regulation is to amend the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) General Regulation 1990 to declare the Hunter Water Corporation Limited to be an authority for the purposes of Part 2 (Financial accommodation) of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987.

The object of clause 2 of this Regulation is to amend the Public Authorities

(Financial Arrangements) Investment Powers Regulation 1990:

(a) to confer on the Trustees of the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Fund the investment powers described in Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987 in respect of the funds of or under the control of the Trustees; and
(b) to update a reference to the Hunter Water Board which has become the Hunter Water Corporation Limited as a result of the Hunter Water Board (Corporatisation) Act 1991.
