(Relating to the borrowing and investment powers of certain authorities)

1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Amendment of Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) General
Regulation 1990

1. The Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting in clause 4 in alphabetical order of authorities the following:

Administrator of the Fish River Water Supply

Administrator of the South-west Tablelands Water Supply

Amendment of Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements)

Investment Bowers Regulation 1990

2. The Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Investment

Powers Regulation 1990 is amended:

(a)

following:
Central Coast Area Health Service
Hunter Area Health Service
Illawarra Area Health Service
South Western Sydney Area Health Service

by inserting in Schedule 1 in alphabetical order of authorities the Wentworth Area Health Service

(b)

by inserting in Schedule 1 after the words “Pathology An incorporated hospital within the meaning of the Public

Hospitals Act 1929 (being a hospital mentioned in the Second Schedule to that Act), other than the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children

(c) by omitting from Schedule 1 the words “University of Wollongong”;
(d)

following:

by inserting in Schedule 2 in alphabetical order of authorities the University of Wollongong

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of clause 1 of this Regulation is to amend the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) General Regulation 1990 to declare the Administrator of the Fish River Water Supply and the Administrator of the South-west Tablelands Water Supply to be authorities for the purposes of Part 2 (Financial accommodation and other arrangements) of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987.

The object of clause 2 of this Regulation is to amend the Public Authorities

(Financial Arrangements) Investment Powers Regulation 1990:

(a) to confer on the authorities referred to in clause 2 (a) and (b) of this Regulation (being certain area health services and all incorporated public hospitals with the one exception) the investment powers described in Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987 in respect of the funds of or under the control of the authorities; and
(b) to confer on the Central Sydney Area Health Service the investment powers described in Part 2 of Schedule 4 to that Act in respect of the funds of or under the control of that area health service; and
(c) to confer on the University of Wollongong the investment powers described in Part 2 (instead of Part 1) of Schedule 4 to that Act in respect of the funds of or under the control of the University.
