(Relating to financial adjustments)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act

1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) (Financial Adjustments) Regulation 1988 is amended by inserting after clause 2 the following subclause:

(2) To avoid doubt, a reference in this clause to a commodity

includes a reference to electricity.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Regulation is to clarify that financial transactions concerning commodities include financial transactions concerning electricity for the purposes of the list of financial adjustments that public authorities may effect with the approval of the Treasurer.

This Regulation is made under sections 5 (f) (Meaning of effecting a financial adjustment) and 43 (the general regulation-making power) of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987.
