(Relating to energy distributors)

HIS Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
l. This Regulation commences on 2 March 1996.
Amendment
2. The Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Regulation 1995 is
amended:
(a)
by omitting from Schedule 1 the names “Illawarra Electricity” and “Murray River Electricity”;
(b) by omitting from Schedule 2 the name “’Shortland Electricity”;
(c)
by omitting from Schedules 3 and 4 the name “MetNorth Energy” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the name “EnergyAustralia” ;
(d) by omitting from Schedule 3 the name “Prospect Electricity”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The objects of this Regulation are:
| (a) | to remove from the Schedules to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Regulation 1995 the names of 4 electricity distributors that have ceased to exist; and |
| (b) | to rename an energy distributor to reflect a change of name that has been effected under the Energy Services Corporations Act 1995. |
This Regulation is made under the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act
1987, including section 43 (the general regulation making power) and section 24.
