His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Citation

1. This Regulation may be cited as the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) (Building Services Corporation) Savings Regulation 1990.

Commencement

2. This Regulation takes effect on 12 January 1990.

Investment powers of Building Services Corporation

(1) The Building Services Corporation is to continue to have the investment powers described in Part 3 of Schedule 4 to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, as in force immediately before the commencement of the Public Authorities

(Financial Arrangements) Further Amendment Act 1989, in respect of
all of the funds of or under the control of the Corporation.

(2) This clause has effect despite the substitution of that Part by Schedule 1 (10) to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Further Amendment Act 1989.

Duration

4. This Regulation ceases to have effect:

(a) on 1 September 1990; or

(b) on the day on which the Building Services Corporation ceases to have the investment powers described in Part 3 of Schedule 4 to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987,

whichever first occurs.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to temporarily preserve the investment powers of the Building Services Corporation as they were immediately prior to the commencement of the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Further Amendment Act 1989.

That Act changes the investment powers of all authorities whose investment
powers are subject to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987.
