Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to confer on the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games the investment powers described in Part 3 of Schedule 4 to the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987 in respect of the funds of or under the control of SOCOG. This Regulation is made under the Public Authorities (Financial Arrangements) Act 1987, including section 24 and section 43 (the general regulation making power).
