Act No. 76, 1983.

An Act to amend the Public Authorities (Financial Accommodation) Act,

1981, as a consequence of the enactment of the Treasury Corporation

Act, 1983, and for other purposes. [Assented to, 4th May, 1983.]

Public Authorities (Financial Accommodation) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the "Public Authorities (Financial

Accommodation) Amendment Act, 1983".

Commencement.

2.     (1) Except as provided by subsection (2) , this Act shall commence

on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 and Schedule 1 shall commence on the day appointed

and notified under section 2 (2) of the Treasury Corporation Act, 1983.

Amendment of Act No. 82, 1981.

3. The Public Authorities (Financial Accommodation) Act, 1981, is

amended in the manner set forth in Schedule 1.

AMENDMENTS TO THE PUBLIC AUTHORITIES (FINANCIAL

ACCOMMODATION) ACT, 1981.

(1) Section 5 (c )—

Omit the paragraph, insert instead:—

(c) the discharge or partial discharge of financial accommoda- tion obtained pursuant to this or any other Act, whether before, on or after the appointed day; or

(2) Section 7 A —

After section 7, insert:—

New South Wales Treasury Corporation.

7A. Sections 11 (1) (b) and 13 (1) (b) do not apply to or in respect of financial accommodation obtained from the New South Wales Treasury Corporation unless the Treasurer, by instrument in writing, otherwise directs.

(3) Section 23 (1) ( a )—

After "than", insert "the council of a city, municipality or shire

constituted by".

(4) Schedules 4, 7—

Insert in Schedules 4 and 7, in alphabetical order, each of the following:—
