AN ACT to amend the Public Authorities (Contributions)

Act 1974, and to make incidental provision .

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows :

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Public Authorities

(Contributions) Amendment Act 1993 .

Commencement

2.    This Act is deemed to have come into operation on 30 June

1993 .

Principal Act

3. In this Act, the Public Authorities (Contributions) Act 1974*

is referred to as the principal Act.

Section 3 amended

4.    Section 3 of the principal Act is amended, in subsection (la),

by deleting "4%" and substituting the following -

" 5% ".

Commencement of increased rate of contribution

5.     (1)

Where, under an amendment to the principal Act made by section 3, the proportion of the total revenue of a public authority to be transferred to the Consolidated Fund has been increased, the increased rate commences to apply in respect of the total revenue of the public authority for its financial year ending -

(a)	on 30 June 1993, in relation to -
(i) theState EnergyCommissionof Western Australia; and

(ii)

the Water Authority of Western Australia ;

(b)	on30September1993,inrelationtothe Banbury Water Board; and
(c)	on 31 December 1993, in relation to the Busselton Water Board.

(2) In subsection (1), "public authority" and "financial

year" have the same meanings as they have in the principal Act .
