Psychologists Board Amendment Rules 2004

Made by The Psychologists Board of Western Australia with the approval of the Governor in Executive Council.

1. Citation
These are the Psychologists Board Amendment Rules 2004.

2.             Commencement

These rules come into operation on the day on which Part 2 Jurisdiction) Amendment and Repeal Act 2004 comes into operation or on the day of their publication in the Gazette, whichever is the later.

3.             The rules amended

The amendments in these rules are to the Psychologists Board
Rules 1978*.

4.             Rule 24 amended

(1) Rule 24(1) is repealed and the following subrule is inserted
instead —

“

(1) The Registrar shall enter a note in the Register of any
striking off the Register or suspension of the
registration of any person on the order of or by the
State Administrative Tribunal and the date of that
striking off or suspension.

”.

(2) Rule 24(2) is amended as follows:

(a)	by deleting “cancellation” and inserting instead — “ the striking off ”;
(b)	by deleting “Board” and inserting instead — “ State Administrative Tribunal ”.

5.             Rules 63 to 66 repealed and heading deleted

(1)	Rules 63, 64, 65 and 66 are repealed.
(2)	The heading before rule 63 is deleted.

6.             Rule 67 amended

Rule 67 is amended by deleting “, complaints, inquiries, disciplinary action and the appeal of aggrieved persons against decisions of the Board” and inserting instead —

“ or complaints ”.

7.             Rule 68 amended

Rule 68 is amended by deleting “an inquiry” and inserting instead —

“ the Board to inquire ”.

8.             Schedule amended

(1)	The Schedule Forms 13 and 14 are deleted.
(2)	The Schedule Form 15 is amended as follows:

(a)

by deleting “APPLICATION FOR AN INQUIRY” and “ APPLICATION FOR INQUIRY ”;

(b) by deleting “an inquiry” and inserting instead — “ the Board to inquire ”.
