Psychologists Board Amendment Rules 1999

Made by the Psychologists Board of Western Australia and approved by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These rules may be cited as the Psychologists Board
Amendment Rules 1999.

2.             The rules amended

The amendments in these rules are to the Psychologists Board
Rules 1978*.

3.             Rule 17 amended

Rule 17(2)(f) is deleted and the following paragraph is inserted instead —

“

(f) in the case of —

(i)      full registration under section 24 of the Act — a fee of $175; or

(ii)      provisional registration under section 36 of the Act — a fee (calculated pro rata from a full fee of $175) to cover the period commencing from the application through to 30 June of that financial year,

which shall be refunded to the applicant if the

registration sought is not obtained.

”.

4.             Rule 31 substituted

Rule 31 is repealed and the following rule is inserted instead —

“

31.           Fees

The prescribed fee —

(a) upon registration is $175

(b) upon annual renewal of

registration is $175

(c)	upon provisional
registration is a fee (calculated pro rata from a full fee of $175) to cover the period commencing from the application through to 30 June of that financial year
(d)	upon temporary
registration [except where waived under rule 29(1)] is $144.50 ”.

5.             Rule 50 amended

Rule 50 is amended as follows:

(a)

in paragraph (a) by deleting “110” and inserting “ 175 ”;

(b)

in paragraph (b) by deleting “60” and inserting “ 175 ”.

6.             Rule 52 amended

Rule 52(g) is deleted and the following paragraph is inserted instead —

“

(g) a fee (calculated pro rata from a full fee of $175) to cover the period commencing from the application through to 30 June of that financial year, which shall be refunded to the applicant if the licence is refused by the Board.

”.

7.             Rule 59 amended

Rule 59(1) is amended by deleting “$125” in each place where it occurs and inserting instead —

“ $175 ”.

8.             Rule 82 amended

Rule 82 is amended by deleting “a fee of $125 which shall be returned if the Board decline the application.” and inserting instead —

“

a fee (calculated pro rata from a full fee of $175) to
cover the period commencing from the application
through to 30 June of that financial year, which shall be

returned if the Board decline the application.

”.

9.             Rule 85 amended

Rule 85 is amended by deleting “a fee of $90.” and inserting instead —

“

a fee (calculated pro rata from a full fee of $175).

”.

10.           Schedule amended

Form 9 in the Schedule is amended by deleting item (6) and inserting the following item —

“

(6)	The pro rata application fee calculated in accordance
with rule 52(g).

”.
