His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following

Regulation under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Protection of the Environment Operations (Waste) Regulation
2014 to extend the end date for the 50 per cent concessional rate for residual waste generated directly from

the shredding of scrap metal from 30 June 2018 to 30 June 2019. sections 88 (2) and 323 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Protection of the Environment Operations (Waste)
Amendment (Calculation of Contributions) Regulation 2018.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Protection of the Environment Operations (Waste) Regulation 2014

Clause 12 Calculation of contributions

Omit “30 June 2018” from clause 12 (7) (b). Insert instead “30 June 2019”.
