His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Protection of the Environment Operations (General)
Regulation 2009 to provide for the Environment Protection Authority to continue to be the appropriate
Protection of the Environment Operations sections 6 (3) and 323 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Protection of the Environment Operations (General)
Amendment (Underground Petroleum Storage Systems) Regulation 2017.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Protection of the Environment Operations (General) Regulation 2009

Clause 91 Underground petroleum storage systems

Omit “1 June 2017” from clause 91 (2). Insert instead “1 September 2019”.
