Protection of the Environment Operations Amendment (Asbestos Waste) Act 2018 (NSW)

An Act to amend the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 in relation to offences involving asbestos waste; and for related purposes.

1Name of Act

This Act is the Protection of the Environment Operations Amendment (Asbestos Waste) Act 2018.

2Commencement(1)

This Act commences on a day or days to be appointed by proclamation.

(2)

A day may not be appointed under subsection (1) that commences Schedule 1 [11] earlier than 12 months after the date of assent to this Act.

Insert after section 241 (1) (e):

the presence of asbestos in the environment.
