Protection of Movable Cultural Heritage Regulations 2018  2

1  Name

This instrument is the Protection of Movable Cultural Heritage Amendment (2021 Measures No. 1) Regulations 2021.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Protection of Movable Cultural Heritage Act 1986.

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Protection of Movable Cultural Heritage Regulations 2018

1  Clause 5.3 of Schedule 1 (at the end of the cell at table item 2, column 1)

Add “, other than bark paintings owned, or held on loan, by the Commonwealth or a principal collecting institution”.

2  Clause 5.4 of Schedule 1 (after table item 4)

Insert:

4A Pre‑1960 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander bark paintings owned, or held on loan, by the Commonwealth or a principal collecting institution $25,000

3  Clause 7.3 of Schedule 1

Insert:

Dartnell, W.T.

4  At the end of Part 7 of Schedule 1

Add:

7.6  In this Part:

Victoria Cross medal means:

(a)  a Victoria Cross; or

(b)  a Victoria Cross for Australia.
