The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the Prostitution Control Act 1994 in respect of the procedure for declaring premises to be a proscribed brothel.
2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day after the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

4. Declaration of proscribed brothel
(1) In section 80(1)(a)(i) of the Principal Act, after
"premises" insert "or has been carried on at those
premises at any time during the period of 14 days
immediately before the date of the filing of theapplication".
(2) In section 80(1)(b) of the Principal Act, after
"brothel" insert "or have been so used at any time
during the period of 14 days immediately beforethe date of the filing of the application".
(3) In section 80(2) of the Principal Act, after
"brothel" insert "at the date of the filing of the
application or have been so used at any time
during the period of 14 days immediately beforethe date of the filing of the application".
