REGULATION

(Relating to the inspection of property on termination of a lease)

NEW SOUTH WALES

[Published in Gazette No. 28 of 10 March 1995]

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Property, Stock and Business Agents Act 1941, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

ROBERT WEBSTER, M.L.C.,

Minister for Housing.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 31 March 1995.

2. The Property, Stock and Business Agents (General) Regulation 1993 is amended by omitting from rule 10 in Schedule 1 the words “as near as practicable before its termination” and by inserting instead the words “either immediately before or immediately after its termination”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to require a licensee under the Property, Stock and
Business Agents Act 1941 who acts as the agent of leased or managed property to

inspect the property either immediately before or immediately after the termination of the lease of the property (rather than as near as practicable before the termination of the lease, as is currently the case).

This Regulation is made under section 92 (the general regulation making power) of the Property, Stock and Business Agents Act 1941.
