(Disclosure Statement) Regulation
1999
under the
Professional Standards Act 1994
His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Professional Standards Act 1994.
JEFFREY SHAW, Q.C., M.L.C.,
Attorney General
Explanatory note
The Professional Standards Act 1994 provides for the limiting of occupational liability of professionals and other occupational groups under schemes approved by the Professional Standards Council. The Act requires a person whose occupational liability is so limited to notify that fact on all documents given by the person to a client or prospective client that promote or advertise the person or the person’s occupation. The object of this Regulation is to prescribe a form of statement for the purpose of that requirement.
This Regulation is made under the Professional Standards Act 1994, including sections 33 (Notification of limitation of liability) and 53 (the general regulation-making power).
