I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following regulation under the Product Stewardship Act 2011.

Name of regulation
This regulation is the Product Stewardship (Advisory Group) Regulation 2012.

Commencement
This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.

Definitions
In this regulation:
Act means the Product Stewardship Act 2011.
official meeting, for an Advisory Group member, means a formal meeting that is required by the member’s functions under the Act.
Remuneration Determination means the Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2012/13—Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Part-Time Public Office, as amended from time to time.
Travel Determination means the Remuneration Tribunal Determination 2004/03—Official Travel by Office Holders, as amended from time to time.

Advisory Group—remuneration and allowances
(1)This section is made for subclause 4 (1) of Schedule 1 to the Act.
(2)The Chair of the Advisory Group is to be paid the fee set out for a Category 2 Chairperson in Table 2A of the Remuneration Determination, on the conditions set out in clauses 2.9 to 2.11 of that determination.
(3)Clauses 1.7 to 1.9, 2.1, 2.4, 3.1 and 3.3 to 3.8 of the Travel Determination apply to an Advisory Group member who is required to travel away from the member’s home base for an official meeting, as if the member were an office holder mentioned in that determination, according to the following Tier rates:
(a)in the case of the Chair—Tier 2;
(b)in the case of any other member—Tier 3.
