Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Administrator in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under sections 11(2) and 19(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Foochow Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (b) that the Foochow Inlet Conservation Area, declared by the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1996 No. 106, be renamed as Foochow Conservation Area; and (c) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the proclamation) This proclamation declares that –

(a) certain Crown land is reserved land in the class of conservation area and is named as the Foochow Conservation Area; and (b) the conservation area known as Foochow Inlet Conservation Area is renamed as Foochow Conservation Area.
