Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, by this my proclamation made under section 14(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970  –

(a) declare the Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area; and (b) give the name Hunter Island Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (c) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the proclamation) This proclamation extends the Hunter Island Conservation Area by about 58.2 square metres to include the lighthouse and surrounding land.
