Proclamation under the Electricity Companies Act 1997

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 2(2) of the Electricity Companies Act 1997  –

(a) fix 21 April 1998 as the day on which the provisions of that Act, other than sections 1, 2, 24, 25, 26 and 27 and Schedules 2 and 3, commence; and (b) fix 1 July 1998 as the day on which section 26(1) and (2) of that Act commences.

(This note is not part of the proclamation) This proclamation –
