Proclamation under the Corrections Act 1997

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 9(1) of the Corrections Act 1997  –

(a) declare  the premises described in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be a prison; and (b) revoke the proclamation made under the Prison Act 1868 and published in the Gazette on 15 June 1937 which appointed and established the Kilderry Farm Gaol; and (c) revoke the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1983, No. 138; and (d) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
