Proclamation under the Constitution Act 1934

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 19(4) of the Constitution Act 1934  –

(a) appoint 8 May 1999 as the day on which a poll, if required, is to be held for any periodical election of a Member of the Legislative Council to be held in 1999; and (b) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
