I, the Governor, acting under the Residential Parks (Long-stay Tenants) Act 2006 section 2 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix 3 August 2007 as the day on which the provisions of that Act, other than sections 1 and 2, come into operation.

Note 1: Under section 22 of the Interpretation Act 1984, sections 1 and 2 came into
operation on 4 July 2006.Note 2:
Under the Residential Parks (Long-stay Tenants) Regulations 2007 regulation 2(b), those regulations take effect on the day on which the Residential Parks (Long-stay Tenants) Act 2006 commences in accordance with this proclamation.

RESIDENTIAL PARKS (LONG-STAY TENANTS) ACT 2006
DESIGNATED COMMISSIONER
It is hereby notified that pursuant to section 84(1) of the Residential Parks (Long- stay Tenants) Act 2006 the Minister for Consumer Protection has designated the person who holds the position of ‘Commissioner for Consumer Protection’ as ‘Commissioner’ for the purposes of the Residential Parks (Long-stay Tenants) Act 2006.
