Commencement Proclamation

under the

Gene Technology (GM Crop Moratorium) Amendment Act 2007
No 86

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Gene Technology (GM Crop Moratorium) Amendment Act 2007, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 11 January 2008 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Gene Technology (GM Crop Moratorium) Amendment Act 2007 other than Schedule 1 [17] (which commenced on the date of assent to the Act).
