Commencement Proclamation

under the

Workers Compensation Amendment (Insurance Reform)
Act 2003 No 81

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Workers Compensation Amendment (Insurance Reform) Act 2003, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 2007 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Workers Compensation Amendment (Insurance Reform) Act 2003. The provisions concerned relate to arrangements for workers compensation claims made against employers who are uninsured or who cannot be identified.
