under the

Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998
No 157

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 2007 as the day on which sections 164 and 170 of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence sections 164 (Parental responsibility of Minister) and 170 (Retention of records) of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998.
