under the

Fair Trading Amendment Act 2006 No 62

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Fair Trading Amendment Act 2006, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 20 October 2006 as the day on which that Act (with the exception of Schedule 1 [17]–[19]) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain amendments made by the Fair Trading Amendment Act 2006. The amendments not being commenced concern the assertion of the right to payment for unsolicited goods or services, for the unsolicited making of an entry in a directory or for unauthorised advertisements.
