Proclamation

under the

Companion Animals Amendment Act 2005 No 101

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Companion Animals Amendment Act 2005, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 13 January 2006 as the day on which that Act commences, other than the following provisions:

(a)	Schedule 1 [79], to the extent that it inserts section 56 (1) (a),
(b)	Schedule 1 [86],
(c)	Schedule 1 [87], to the extent that it inserts section 57D,
(d)	Schedule 1 [88].

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments made to the Companion Animals Act 1998 by the Companion Animals Amendment Act 2005, other than amendments relating to the declaration by councils of restricted dogs.
