under the

Gaming Machines Amendment Act 2005 No 78

By Deputation from Her Excellency the Governor
I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the
advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Gaming

Machines Amendment Act 2005, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January

2006 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a)	Schedule 1 [18],
(b)	Schedule 2 [2]–[6] and [8].

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain amendments contained in the Gaming Machines Amendment Act 2005 that relate to the connection of gaming machines in hotels and clubs to an authorised CMS and that change the casino community benefit levy and fund under the Casino Control Act 1992 to the responsible gambling levy and fund.
