under the

Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Amendment Act 2005 No 50

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (2) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Amendment Act 2005, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 25 November 2005 as the day on which Schedules 1 [7], [14]–[17], [20], [22] and [23], 2.1 and 2.2 to that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain uncommenced provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Amendment Act 2005. The provisions concerned relate to the following:

(a) the powers of officers under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979,

(b)

the issuing of penalty notices for offences against that Act or the regulations made under it.
