Proclamation

under the

Civil Procedure Act 2005

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Civil Procedure Act 2005, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 15 August 2005 as the day on which that Act commences, except for the following provisions:

(a)	sections 8 and 17,
(b)	Schedule 2,
(c)	Schedule 5.3 [1], [2], [3] and [4], 5.15 [4], 5.17 [3], 5.30 [8], 5.43 and 5.44.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain provisions of the Civil Procedure Act 2005. The remaining provisions have already commenced, will commence automatically on 15 August 2005 as a consequence of this Proclamation or will commence automatically in the future as a consequence of the commencement of other legislation.
