under the

Adoption Act 2000 No 75

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Adoption Act 2000, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 2005 as the day on which sections 12–15, 18 and 19 (1) of that Act, and clause 3 of Schedule 3 to that Act, commence. Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Adoption Act 2000. Those provisions establish a scheme for the accreditation of adoption agencies (referred to in the Act as “adoption service providers”).
