Defamation Amendment Act 2002 No 136

I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Defamation Amendment Act 2002, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 25 August 2003 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Defamation Amendment Act 2002. The uncommenced provisions make amendments to the Defamation Act 1974 relating to offers to make amends.
