I, the Governor, acting under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Act 2007 section 2 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix 1 July 2008 as the day on which sections 5 to 14 of that Act, come into operation.

Note: Under the Interpretation Act 1984 section 25(3), the Building Amendment Regulations (No. 8) 2008 and the Local Government (Building Surveyors) Regulations 2008 take effect on the day on which the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Act 2007 section 5 commences in accordance with this proclamation.
