PROCLAMATION—Senate Elections Act 1960
Queensland Subordinate Legislation 1996 No. 19 Senate Elections Act 1960 PROCLAMATION I, LENEEN FORDE, Governor, for the purpose of the election of senators for this State to the Senate of the Commonwealth— (a) fix Monday 29 January 1996 for the issue of the writ; and (b) fix Monday 5 February 1996 for the close of the rolls; and (c) fix Friday 9 February 1996 as the day on or before which candidates may be nominated; and (d) fix Saturday 2 March 1996 for the polling; and (e) fix Wednesday 8 May 1996 as the day on or before which the writ shall be returned; and (f) appoint the Office of the Australian Electoral Officer for Queensland, CM Place, 484 Queen Street, Brisbane to be the place for the nomination of candidates.
