I, the Governor, acting under the Food Act 2008 section 2 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council—

(a)

fix the day after the day on which this proclamation is published in the Government Gazette as the day on which sections 3 to 7, Parts 2 to 7 and Parts 9 to 14 of that Act come into operation; and

(b)

fix 23 April 2010 as the day on which Part 8 Divisions 1 and 3 of that Act come into operation; and

(c)

fix 23 October 2010 as the day on which Part 8 Division 2 of that Act comes into operation.

Notes—

Under the Food Regulations 2009 regulation 2(b), those regulations (other than regulations 1 and 2) come into operation on the day on which the Food Act 2008 section 147(14) comes into operation under this proclamation.
Under the Health (Food and Pet Meat) Repeal Regulations 2009 regulation 2(b), those regulations (other than regulations 1 and 2) come into operation on the day on which the Food Act 2008 section 147(14) comes into operation under this proclamation.

Under the Health (Rottnest Island) Amendment Local Laws 2009 clause 2(b), those local laws (other than clauses 1 and 2) come into operation on the day on which the Food Act 2008 section 147(14) comes into operation under this proclamation.

Under the Health (Food) Local Laws 2009 clause 2(b), those local laws (other than clauses 1 and 2) come into operation on the day on which the Food Act 2008 section 147(14) comes into operation under this proclamation.
