I, the Governor, acting under the Fines Legislation Amendment Act 2008 section 2(c) and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix the day after the day on which this proclamation is published in the Government Gazette as the day on which the provisions of that Act, other than sections 1, 2 and 12(3), come into operation.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the State on 26 March 2008.

Note: Under the Interpretation Act 1984 section 25(3), the Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement Amendment Regulations (No. 3) 2008, other than regulations 1 and 2, and the Sentencing Amendment Regulations 2008, other than regulations 1 and 2, take effect on the day on which the Fines Legislation Amendment Act 2008 sections 12(1) and 18 commence in accordance with this proclamation.
