ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AMENDMENT ACT 2003

PROCLAMATION
WESTERN AUSTRALIA By His Excellency the Honourable David Kingsley

I, the Lieutenant-Governor and Administrator, acting under section 2 of the Environmental Protection Amendment Act 2003, and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix the following day as the day on which sections 37, 54(2), 55, 72(2) and (4), 75(3) and (4) and Part 9 of that Act come into operation—
(a)
if regulations made for the purposes of section 51C(c) of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 as inserted by section 110 of the Environmental Protection Amendment Act 2003 are laid before the Legislative Assembly under section 42(1) of the Interpretation Act 1984 on or before 8 July 2004— 8 July 2004; or
(b)
if regulations made for the purposes of section 51C(c) of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 as inserted by section 110 of the Environmental Protection Amendment Act 2003 are laid before the Legislative Assembly under section 42(1) of the Interpretation Act 1984 after 8 July 2004—the day on which the regulations are so laid before the Legislative Assembly.
